今天翻看词典，恰好看到这两个词，索性将它所有的词意都翻看了一遍，顺便将以前自己没有注意到的用法也归纳了一下
direct
常见用法为adj.和v.
【adj.的用法】
1.常做定语，（going) straight; not curved or crooked; not turned aside
2.with nothing or no one in between, immediate
3.（of descent in a family ）passing through sb's children, grandchildren, etc, rather than through his brothers, sisters etc
4.（此点容易被忽略）做定语exact,complete
Your reply today is in direct contradiction to what you said last week.
direct v.
- Direct sb. (to...) :tell or show sb. how to get somewhere
- Direct sth. ( to...): address a letter or parcel, etc.
- Direct sth. to /at sb: intend that a particular person or group should notice (what one says or does)
Let me direct these remarks to the younger students. - Manage (sth/sb);be in charge of (actors, a film , a play, etc)

注意与directly adv. 的区别

总结：即使很熟悉的词汇，通过对比分析后自己的收获还是很多的。

@吴爱芝 感觉形容词的第4个意思，根据词源也能联系到跟exact的意思相近。direct里面的-rect这个词根带有“直线、正确、纠正”之意，而exact意思是“correct in every detail”，所以应该也算相关。

以前看美剧时知道crush做名词时可以表示迷恋，但前两天看到一篇文章，里面crush是指拥挤的人群。今天主要分享crush做名词的用法。
【解词】
Meaning "thick crowd" is from 1806；
Sense of "person one is infatuated with" is first recorded 1884;
to have a crush on is from 1913.
【释义】

【解词】appear来源于一拉丁词，原意是"come in sight; be visible"
【释义/字典例句】
1.to become noticeable or to be present 出现；呈现；显现
He suddenly appeared in the doorway.
2.to be present in court in order to give evidence or answer a charge. 出庭（作证或答辩）
（注：该语意本质是把释义1置于“法庭”这个情景）
A man will appear in court today charged with the murder.
3.to give the impression of being or doing sth 看起来好像；似乎
（注：该语意跟释义1很像，不同的地方在于释义1强调“动作”；而该语意强调“状态”，这跟它是个连系动词相关）

4.to perform publicly in a play, film or dance 登台；演出；表演
（注：appear的基本义侧重"to be seen"，所以到这个意思时，明显已经出现了语意上的转向。）

【教授思路】
背景：1）面向的对象：初二学生；2）教材：该词出现在八年级下Unit4中，要求掌握的意思是“显得；看来；似乎”；3）讲解的课型：复习
1、音->形
报appear的发音，检测学生能不能正确的拼写出来。
语音部分的拓展：询问学生能想到的带有字母组合ear并发/ɪə/的单词，如：dear, near, fear
2、语意、词性、用法的检测
确认学生是否知道appear的意思（ “显得；看来；似乎”）。
1）如果知道意思，让学生举出相关的例句。
如果不知道意思，可以列举课本的原句，引导其说出意思：
To make the characters and things appear to move, each picture should be made a little different from the one before it.
2）确认学生是否知道appear的词性：动词-系动词
a.如果学生知道appear是系动词，让其解释什么是系动词，并拓展说出其他的系动词；
b.如果学生不知道appear是系动词，可以举学生较为熟悉的其他系动词的例句，让其感知什么是系动词。
3）确认学生是否知道appear的用法：后接形容词、名词、不定式、that从句。
确认的时候让其试举出相应的例句。
每一个用法都让学生举出相对应的例句，能举出的进入下一个用法的举例，以此类推；不能举出的给出提示的语境让其举例。
3、拓展
课本之外的意思“出现”及其相应同源的词、同义词。
4、练习
（注：不同程度学生的操作不同。如程度较好的学生，整个流程可以过完；程度较差的学生，可以只到第2步的第2）点，加上会辨认appear后接的几种形式即可，不需要会举例。）
收获：1、其实我之前对appear的意思的掌握是不完整的；
2、虽然【教授思路】这部分之前基本是这么操作，但是当要写出来的时候，发现也不是那么好写。再加上其实不同的学生当中的变化也很多，所以还是写不完整。由此不禁会去思考：如果要完整地写出同一个词针对不同层次、不同类型的孩子的教授思路，也不是那么好写。但我又觉得这个事情的必要性是存在的，所以应该可以继续尝试。
3、加入【教授思路】这个部分的灵感来自于邓老师，前天说到我们在分享自己“学”的内容的时候，其实应该多去思考“教”的方式。我觉得很对。不然只是用自己“学”的角度来呈现，很容易出现自嗨情绪，以及在实践过程中的难以落地。所以我这次试了把“学”跟“教”的角度结合在一起，确实思考的角度就变了，单个词的收获本身有限，但是这种导向性显得非常重要。

读过的国内有关词源的书中，李平武老师的《说文解字》最靠谱。《没有词是一座孤岛》最易懂又有料。后者是一本众筹书籍，我有参与一点点
解词部分可以直接用孤岛里面的，里面的解释还是比较容易理解的。我们之前解一个是要查很多东西的，还层层把关
不过要有收获一点的话就是自己先解，然后比照别人的-

有装欧陆的建议可以导入USE THE RIGHT WORD，对同义词辨析，写作方面有较好的功效
