Dragon Boat Festival falls on the 5th day of the 5th month of Chinese lunar new year. As it is in early summer, it marks the beginning of the hottest season in a year.
The tradition of Dragon Boat Festival started more than 2000 years ago. In the old days, dragon boat races were organized by only Chinese people. However, in recent years, people from other cultures have taken part in and enjoyed the fun.
A special food of dragon boat festival, called zongzi, is sticky rice in fresh bamboo leaves.

There are two traditional activities in Dragon Boat Festival. Before the festival, people usually prepare zongzi, a traditional special food which is sticky rice in fresh bamboo leaves. During the festival, Chinese people will organize dragon boat races and many foreigners will take part in them to have fun too.

There are several activities to celebrate the festival.People usually prepare some delicious food for the old, such as dumplings and cakes.It's a good choice to chat with the old about the news, the changes and anything they are interested in. If possible, people may give singing and dancing performances for them. Playing games with them is also great fun.
The Spring Festival is one of the most important and energetic festivals in China. It falls on the first day of the first month of Chinese lunar year and it is a time for family reunion.
There are many interesting activities to celebrate the festival. Before the spring festival, people usually clean their houses and decorate them with paper cuts. On New Year's Eve, it's our custom to watch the Spring Festival Gala and enjoy a feast with all family members. Since the second day of the spring festival. It's our tradition to visit relatives and friends and give lucky money to kids to show our best wishes.
