You cannot connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them backwards.

This quote said by Steve Jobs made an impression on me. In a certain period, it gives a specific direction to my life.

To my mind, it's another expression of favorable accumulation. It is like we set up a goal, and gradually reach to it step by step, bit by bit. The process of the accumulation we keep piping up is called Begin with the End in Mind. 

Something might be extremely complex and harsh until we get involved in it. Just spilt the whole thing into different parts, and take time to work them out one by one. For example, at the beginning of the year 2022, I wrote down a resolution that I want to run 1,000km this year. At first, it looks like an impossible goal. But time tells. I set up a schedule and follow it tightly, 5km at least one day, and 100km one month. Unless special days come, I won't stop. Now, it comes to the last month of 2022, I almost touch the end-line I built up before.

At the period, if we failed, don't be distraught. Just cheer up, and keep going on. If we go off the right track, don't lose faith, just adjust it. When we came over all the obstacles and get to where we want to, we would appreciate ourselves. After we got through a complete and long journey like that. We would begin to believe one rule, Everything is possible. The biggest thing is just not to be afraid to try, not be afraid of failure.

We exist in a world now where everywhere pushes us to go faster, and faster. Growing up, we are unknowingly being trained and got overwhelmed by massive marketing, magazines, and all forms of media. We are told to make money, win awards, gain new skills, reach goals etc. in a fast way. Slowing down, and being focused turn out to be the biggest challenge we face nowadays.

We always live a life that is filled with rush and muddle, and almost forget the rule of compounding. There is no easy fix to reach the bar in one step. Only by following the rule of the world, focusing on what we love, and laying down the ground, everything you want will come.
