Technological determinism——notes of seminar 

if you want to have spicy food, the search engine will give you a list of it, and you can see  the photos of meals, people’s comments and recommends, based on these information you will choose the nearest and most delicious one. your iPhone will remember your search habits, then predict your consuming behavior, it's convenient.

but at the same time technology make people silly. now people pay more attention to the screen but not the reality, even when they go sightseeing, they would hold the iphones and take photos all the time, looking at the screen but not the sight spots. they think photos will remember it, but don’t use brain and eyes to remember. 

sometimes technology is driven by marketing. for example apple watch will measure your heart beats, your weights and everything related to your health.it convinced people to use technology to be healthier, make people feel that they can’t live without it and have to buy the new machine. and we always hear that E-commerce will instead of stores, although there are still physical stores, but it make people adapt to the E-commerce faster. --technology can also be a kind of marketing, it creates demand for people.
