Delicate ivory dress, a petite handbag, and a pair of well-polished high-heel shoes, my sister Meng looked graceful and gorgeous, whom I even could not take my eyes off on the way when I walked her to the accounting firm where she would start her summer internship. In the following weeks, whenever I accompanied her to or from the firm, what attracted me more was not her wearing, but her work experiences she shared with me with intense pleasure, even light in her eyes. From assisting other senior accountants in checking the accounts and invoices to doing auditing for the client companies, Meng had fulfilled her duties well and contributed her part, even a little, to the financial management and strategic development of other business entities, setting a role model to me.

Intrigued by the work duties and contributions of the financial and accounting professions, and hoping to hone my quantitative analysis and data-driven decision-making abilities motivated by their professional requirements, I chose to specialize in accounting in Ningxia University after National University Examination. My non-stop endeavour throughout the past few years has consolidated my academic foundation of this discipline and maintained my top-ranked GPA in my grade. I have gained comprehensive professional knowledge about accounting and finance in such modules as Intermediate Accounting, Auditing Practice, Taxation Practice and Management Accounting, in all of which I received high scores in the final assessment. Moreover, through taking mathematics-related courses and achieving outstanding performance on them, including Linear Algebra, Probability Theory & Mathematical Statistics, Advanced Mathematics and Statistics, I have been consistently enhancing my mathematical foundation and improving mathematical skills, paving the way for my quantitative analysis in complex real-life problems. To expand my knowledge scope and prepare my adaptability to multiple fields and duties, after attending the lectures on Microeconomicsand Science of Logic etc., I did extensive reading and watched online lectures to gain more frontier knowledge related to these subjects.

My comprehensive understanding of the discipline of accounting and finance has enabled me to realize that the professional requirements for competent accountants are not confined to good knowledge about theories and principles, but also include growing competence to operate software, efficient information communication, critical analysis of financial information and forecasting of economic trends and(or) challenges, as well as close collaboration with other departments to provide intellectual support for enterprise' strategic development planning. These expectations have long been motivating me to work hard, and will continue to drive me to advance on my next-stage academic journey.To improve my flexible knowledge application skills and gain more practical experiences, I have participated in various competitions and training related to my major. In the Enterprise Resource Planning Model Operation Competition in 2019, I acted as a chief manager to operate our business and make comprehensive strategic development plans. Although our decision making failure in loan application led to our bankruptcy in the preliminary round, I learned the lessons about reviewing our business knowledge, gaining new expertise before and throughout the competition, and collaboration among different divisions as part of the premises of business success. Then in the Hengxin Cup National Taxation Calculation Professional Competition, I took advantage of the two-month training period to re-enhance my expertise in practical accounting and individual income tax processing, and after noticing certain knowledge gaps, I made full use of my spare time to fill in them through self-teaching and communication with lecturers. With such preparation, I was quite confident about my case-based training in the next stage at first, while after this new round started, I still felt nervous and frustrated sometimes due to the gap between my previous theoretical knowledge and real practices in the real-life tasks. By organizing group study sessions and watching videos of guidance, I gradually got the hang of the operation and made progress shortly.

Additionally, I have turned some academic projects into opportunities for further self-improvement---a win-win situation of honing academic strengths and developing new skills. The most impressive one was the Case Study of CITIC Group Governance from October to November 2020. As the group leader primarily in charge of corporate financial management, I led my members to collect nearly all the vital information (e.g. the Group’s business, financial management, managerial level structure, challenges and process of going public) to analyse its strengths, challenges and corresponding solutions. Processing such a huge amount of information, though quite time-consuming and tiring, brought me the pleasure of extracting key information for sensible decision making; in addition, holding the butterflies in my stomach and doing a presentation to report our work and answer questions, I was excited to boost my confidence and improve public speaking skills.

Similarly, I have taken advantage of many other non-academic activities to pursue further personal growth, and they have indeed enriched my university life and made it possible for me to do more contributions to the campus life in my future community. In the Office of Youth League Committeeat School of Economics and Management, I managed the files submitted by the League branch in dozens of classes and gave feedback to their class activities organization, and would publish school’s activity reports on our WeChat public account, which pushed me to improve management and copy-writing skills. Moreover, in many voluntary programmes, I assisted in the activity organization by advertising the event, helping with the registration, and offering help in the course of the event, enriching the students’ campus life and improving my communication with people of different personalities and needs.

Looking forward to the future, I would like to pursue my Master’s degree in the UK, one of the financial hubs worldwide. XX. After graduation, I plan to work in one of the four distinguished accounting firms, hopefully, Deloitte. In about three to five years, I hope to be promoted as a project manager in charge of the annual auditing for small and medium-sized companies, and then, a business manager engaging in consolidating the financial statements of large companies. In approximately a decade, I will strive to be a senior manager or a department supervisor, and hopefully a partner then. When I can embrace my personal growth year by year and achieve these aspirations, I believe there will also be light in my eyes, just like my sister's and my eyes years ago.

这是一篇不错的PS。开头非常吸引人， 以自己的妹妹从事的光鲜的金融和财务行业为切入点，过渡到说自己也希望成为自己妹妹那样的人，非常自然。

后面的学术和经历都是为了突出自己的能力： 比如优秀的成绩、实操能力、信息提取和处理能力、演讲和表达能力、管理、写作和交际能力等等，招生官一目了然。

最后叙述了职业目标。
