Yesterday, I finished my fourth half marathon. To be honest, I just planed to run 10 kilometers but when I finished about 7 kilometers, I felt I was at a great state and then I decided to finished one more half marathon. When I ran about 12kilometers, I even had the idea to run a whole marathon which was about 42.2 kilometers. But when I ran about 17 kilometers , I could felt my knees began to ache which implied me that I should stopped after 21.1 kilometers. When I finished, I felt great aside from my tired legs. I didn't drink any water during such a long distance. I'm very clear if I drink once, I'll be hungry for water from time to time. So I gave up drinking anything which would do a little harm to my body.
The road was not flat. When I ran uphill, especially the final left kilometers, I even wanted to give up. But on the downhill, I ran very lightly and the plan to run a whole marathon was originated during this period.
In our life, we tend to make a big plan which far exceeds our ability when we are at a easy and good state and when we confront a difficult task, we are more likely to believe that we are too weak to solve such a difficult task.
No matter where we are, we should weigh our ability more rationally and sometimes we should be a little optimistic while facing with a challenging task but we couldn't be too optimistic while we are in favourable circumstances.
