My friends often ask me where the most interesting place for me in Adelaide is. I answer them that it’s Briston Beach which is a beautiful big, family friendly with plant to do, such as catching crabs on the jetty, walking on the smooth sands and have a picturesque view of beach.
Briston Beach is located on the south-west of Adelaide city, a half of an hour drive away. There are many trains and buses to reach the beach which makes it easy commute for the people who don’t have a car. So, there are a lot of persons in the beach on holidays.
When I arrived at the beach, I was immediately surprised by a picturesque sea view. A long jetty reached out into the bey. The seabirds were circling and flying up and down around the jetty and the broad sandy beach. Some people walked along the jetty, someone swam in the water, in addition, others lay on the beach. The sand was soft and white, the beach was noisy with seagulls squawking and children laughing, together with a breeze whispered through the salty air.
My friends and I walked to the end of the jetty. I dropped the crab net into the bay, then I pulled it up after 15 minutes. Wow! A big bule crab was in the net. How easy it was! Any crab that its claw-to-claw length over 11 cm was considered big enough to take away for cooking. we also had a view of awesome sunset at the sea and evening glow. Finally, we had a delicious seafood meal for two crabs per person.
Overall, a day at Briston Beach is not only extremely relaxed but also very exciting. Whenever I stay in Adelaide during the holidays in summer and autumn, I always go to Briston Beach again and again with my family and my friends.
