Today I read a novel . Its name is 《The Elephant Men》. The writer is Tim Vicary.
when I heard the name of the book I was afraid. I thought it's a story about creature. So I read the novel at the second-to-last.
The creature is sad and lucky.
His sadness is his ugly. His head has a brown bag . The skin came down below his neck .
Couldn't see his eyes clearly. Becuase a lot of skin came down in front fo his face,too.
A enourmous red tooth came out of his mouth , under his nose.
It looked like an elephant's tooth.The mouth and nose were like holes in the face. The face could not smile or laugh.
His foot is very fat and big . He could not walk easily.
His left was very well as usual person . But his right was enormous.
He was sold for watching by the shopkeeper. Seeing one time for 2 pence as a animal.
His lucky day came on . A doctor saw him for 10 pence. The doctor found he was not a creature, he was just a ill man .
The creature named Merrcik.
The next day the doctor named Treves took Merrick to his hospital . At the 4 p.m.the doctor took Merrick go back. But this was their last meeting. Merrick and his host went away.
Three and a half of a year The doctor met Merrick again . This time Merrick is alone . He is very dirty and no place to stay .
The doctor gave his home and books to Merrick . Then Merrick lived in the hospital .
Then doctor ecouraged Merrick. Merrick liked reading book . So he knowed more and more.
The doctor ecouraged Merrick talking to more people . Day after day Merrick had a lot fo friends. The special friend is the Queen Alexandra.
Along with more friends , he was very open and his life is very happy.Then he went to the theatre and went to the country first at the help of his friends .
At the last of his life he was a happy man. Because his body ,he was dead on his bed.
I have read the novel . The feelinng is different from at first.
I know Angel is everywhere.
Everyone can live happily just because he want to live.
This is a magical novel.
