I am going to read a new book, The Carrot Seed.
A little boy planted a carrot seed. His mother, father and big brother told him it wouldn't come up. Every day the little boy pulled up the weeds around the seed and sprinkled the ground with water. But nothing came up.Everyone kept saying it wouldn't come up.But he still pulled up the weeds around it and sprinkled the ground with water every day. And then, one day, a carrot came up just as the little boy had known it would.
Another book, The Cat in the Hat.
It was a rainy day.It was too wet to play. So Sally and his brother sat in the house all that cold, cold, wet day.Their mother was out. At that time a cat with a hat came in. He wanted to play some tricks for two kids, but the fish didn't like the cat. The cat played tricks and made the house messy, but the kids were very happy. Their mother was coming back. The cat cleaned all the mess just before the kids' mother was back. He left quickly as if he had never come.
