There are several old things in my family, such as clocks, watches and furniture. I want to share with you a pretty meaningful stuff among those old things, which is a chest from my grandmother. This chest is one of her dowries when she got married with my grandfather, which is made of wood. This wooden chest is really big, and a kid can lie in there. There are also some beautiful carved flowers on this trunk. I guess the carpenter should be really good at carving. I remember my grandmother told me some old customs about weeding and her good memories in her earlier life. The bride needs to put some new clothes and money in the suitcase, which can show her in-laws that she has ability to go back to her home whenever she wants. Aside from that, she needs to put some dates in it which means the newlyweds will have a baby soon.
