Such complaints are valid, but the picture is lopsided 这种抱怨没错，但失之片面；valid意为符合逻辑的;合理的;有根据的;我们也可以换成 justifiable,correct,right,意思一样。lopsided意为向一侧倾斜的；不平衡的，也就是失之片面的。注意 picture 在这里不能简单理解成图片，而是取其“描绘，描述”这一层意思，表示描述有失偏颇。例如：Her book paints a bleak picture of the problems women now face.她的书是女性当下所面临问题的凄凉写照。 比如如今很多人担忧AI的兴起会导致人类的大面积失业，更有偏激论者认为人类将终将被AI取代，显然这种说法失之片面。我们可以用上刚刚的句型，来为AI正名： The boom of AI arouses the concern about the coming job apocalypse. People engaged in repetitive, unskilled manufacturing are considered to be the most vulnerable. Such complaints are justifiable, but the picture is lopsided.  AI is bound to find its way into more industries, but they are far from cheap and still not up to many tasks demanding human discretion or empathy, like nursing and social care.
