Scene 1 (at home)
Narrator1: Hansel and Gretel lived near a dark forest with their father and their stepmother.
Father: Good morning,children Did you sleep well?
Hansel: Yes, I slept very well.
Gretel: Me too, Father.
Father: Excellent. What are you going to do today?
Hansel: We are going to get somesticks in the woods.
Father: But, you do that everyday!
Gretel: We know! But stepmother told us she needed firewood everyday to keep our home warm.
Father: Well, be careful. You may get lost if you go too deeply into the woods.
Hansel: Don't worry, Father.
Scene 2:
Narrator2:one day.
Stepmother: why don't you pick up firewood and want me to freeze to death?
Han: but we pick it up every day!
stepmother: it's not enough! Go and pick it up, or you won't want to eat!
Narrator3: Hansel and Gretel had to go out and pick up the firewood. Finally, they got lost in the forest.
Gretel: Hansel, where are we?It's getting late.
Hansel: I don't know, Gretel.

Narrator1: suddenly an old woman opened the door.
Witch: you're eating my house. Are you hungry?
Han: oh! ,we didn't mean to eat your house. I'm so sorry.But we're so hungry.
Witch: dear children, come on in.
Narrator2: Hansel and Gretel walked into the room. And the witch locked the door.
Witch: how dare you two eat my house! Now, I want to eat boys, girls can go to work!
Han and GE: No, we didn't mean to. I'm really sorry.
Narrator3: she's an evil witch!
Scene 3 (witch's house)
Witch: I'm going to eat you!
Han: Oh, no!
GE: Oh, dear brother!
Witch: little girl, go cut some firewood to heat the stove,quickly!
Narrator1: Hansel began to worry and Gretel cried unstoppably.
Narrator2: after a while.
Witch: Gretel,See if the stove is hot.
GE: but I don't know how to climb in. Can you teach me?
Witch: fool! It looks like this!
Narrator1: suddenly, Gretel came up with a good idea. When the witch bent over, clever Gretel pushed her into the stove and closed it as quick as she can.
Narrator2: they took the treasure stolen by the witch, and went out of the forest, later, they found their way home.
Han and GE: dad, we're back!
Dad: Hansel! Gretel! Where have you been? I'm so worried.
Han: we got lost in the forest. A bad witch is going to eat us.
Dad: Oh, my God! I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have let you go to the forest. I missed you very much! Your stepmother's gone. She can't hurt you anymore.
Narrator3: since then, Hansel, Gretel and Dad have lived happily ever after.
