Last Saturday my colleagues and I went to attend one collaegue’s wedding party, therefore we had a chance to drop by Melaka to have a visit.Although the time for visiting is not very long, the city gave me a deep impression.
The city of Melaka is historical,relaxing and artistic. I think it resembles the city of Xiamen.
First we visited the historical building. Because the city of Melaka was controlled by Dutch, Portuguese and British before respectively.
After visiting the historical building, we went around the river. walking on the both sides of the river, i felt very peaceful and relaxing. Many people also enjoyed their time here.
After that, we went for lunch. The local student took us to have the meat soup and taro rice, which tasted very delicious.
After lunch, we took a stroll across the old street and the style is really like Xiamen.
Then we went to visit the Mosque which is on the Melaka strait. It is very grand.
After that, we had delicious food for dim sum.
This night I experienced the wedding party of Chinese Malaysian and learned something about their custom.
Staying in Malaysia makes me get in contact with different culture and broaden my mind. I will make full use of this precious opportunity to know more about this country and different kinds of culture.
