Male and female has distinctions in metal and physical. This is the fact that we have to admit.
But in the terms of working, we talking about these distinctions and let the distinctions to measure a person or make decisions, obviously it's totally wrong.
We usually focus on results, methods and efficiency when we working, but focusing on the gender will mislead us.
You can say Sam, Lily and Miranda are not good at logical and coding. But you can not say all the women are not good at logical and coding, you also can not say all the women can't competent to their coding job.
That's the difference between diversity and discriminant.
