I would advice him to keep a dog or cat, which is cute and harmless to people. A cute pet could be a wonderful partner in life, especially for people who are living far away from family. And walking a dog could also be a good opportunity to exercise. What is more, I would advice him to make sure that the pet is not carrying any virals at first. It would be terrible if we get some diseases from our pets.
