When I was a little girl, I wanted to travel to lots of countries. When I was a teenager, I travelled to the south hemisphere and settled in one of the most beautiful countries in the world - New Zealand. The girl's dream came to a halt since then. I admire those people who can live on a backpack but I don't have the courage to live like them.
Time past by, I rethink about the meaning of travel. To me travel is about seeing and experiencing new things. If I can't give up settling in one place and have a regular job, what I can do about travel - use my spare time and start nearby.
Since 2006, I travelled to many small towns in New Zealand. I thought I would remember all the beautiful views I saw and all the fun things I did. Ten years later, all the feelings have faded into oblivion.
Today is 18th December 2017. I'm going to start jotting down the places I will go.
2017's Christmas holiday started early. This year, my husband and I are going to Tasmania.
Last day at work was 15th Dec. At 6am on 16th Dec, I jumped on to the plane to fly from Wellington to Melbourne.
Sorted out a new phone card in the airport and started waiting for getting picked up.
Lunch at the usual Bangladesh restaurant. Five star food vs. one star hygiene and service.
Around 7pm we headed to Port Melbourne to catch the ferry to Tasmania.
Once we are settled on the ferry, it's time to explore.
That was the end of 16th Dec 2017.
