Once a upon a time, there lived a man by himself. He was blind, but he always took a lamp with him whenever he went out at night.
从前，有一位独居的盲人。他晚上外出时总会带上一盏灯。
One night when he came home after having dinner outside, he met a group of young men. They saw the man taking a lamp, so they made fun of him. One of them asked, “ Hey, man! You are blind and can’t see anything! Why do you take the lamp with you then?”
一天晚上，他在外吃过饭后回家，遇上了一群年轻人。这群年轻人看到他带了灯而取笑他，其中一人问道：“你是一个盲人，看不见任何事物。为什么还随身带一盏灯呢？”
The blind man said, “ Yes, I am blind and can’t see anything, but the lamp is for the people who can see. They can see me and won’t knock into me. That’s why I take a lamp.”
这位盲人说到：“是的，我看不见任何事物，但这盏灯是为能看见的人带的。这样他们能看见我就不会撞到我了。这就是我为什么要带一盏灯的原因。”
The young men felt ashamed and said sorry to the man.
这群年轻人听后为自己的言行感到羞耻，并向他道歉。
They story tells us: We should think before judging others. Always be polite to others and learn to see things from other’s points of view.
这个故事告诉我们：在评判他人之前，我们应该三四，要从别人的角度去看问题。
