Although experience is also important, imagination is more valuable. With imagination provide people with the ability to think out of the box, and people can create things that never exist before and even change the world.

We gain experience naturely as we grow up or during the process of work, but imagination cannot get as easily as experience. As we get older, we gain experience about life, how to talk with people, and how to solve problems. We do not need to put extra effort to do so. However, although imagination was once a nature of children, as we grow up and gain more experience, we seem to lose the ability to imagine freely, and imagination also needs practice. Imagination needs more efforts than experience, so it should play a more important role than experience.

Imagination provides people the ability to create something new that can even change people’s lives. Before the iphone was created, no one can imagine that cell phones can be in such way. It is with the ability to think out of the box that Steven Jobs can create a brand new product that never exists before. Iphone is not just a new product for the industry, but changes people’s understandings of cellphone and even how people communicate with each other. Steven Jobs’s success is a great example showing that only with imagination can people create something new without being restrained by existing mindset, and thus imagination is more valuable than experience.

With imagination, people can do what they cannot even think of before. People now can go to the Moon, but if with experience they will only consider the Moon to be a place that human beings can never reach. Because of the desire of flying as a bird, people invented the plane and change the way how people can travel. Many developments of technology first emerge because of imagination for brand new things. Without imagination, people can only live their old lives. Imagination not just benefits individuals who create new things, but also the society as a whole, which makes it a more valuable asset for human beings.

There is no doubt that experience is beneficial too, we can avoid making the same mistakes that we have made before. However, imagination provides us much more than that and cannot get as easily as experience do. Thus we should value imagination more.
