L14(2)：A noble gangster
Six hundred years ago, Sir John Hawkwood arrived in Italy with a band of soldiers and settled near Florence. He soon made a name for himself and came to be known to the Italians as Giovanni Acuto. Whenever the Italian city-states were at war with each other, Hawkwood used to hire his soldiers to princes who were willing to pay the high price he demanded. In times of peace, when business was bad, Hawkwood and his men would march into a city-state and, after burning down a few farms, would offer to go away if protection money was paid to them. Hawkwood made large sums of money in this way. In spite of this, the Italians regarded him as a sort of hero. When he died at the age of eighty, the Florentines gave him a state funeral and had painted a picture which was dedicated to the memory of 'the most valiant soldier and most notable leader, Signor Giovanni Haukodue.

练习感悟：
学知识不是任务，也不能抱着做任务的心态去学，那本质上是一个被动的学习方法。学知识的心态最起码得是探索型的、主动吸收知识的，并且能意识到知识的确能对生活起改善作用的，只有活学了，才能活用。
复习了两个音标，长音i和短音I，把教材的相关知识点几乎全看了一遍，学到了一些平时接触不到的内容，举个例子，thirteen和thirty等数字在不同的句子里，是需要改变重读音节的。
本次的复述听了两遍，第一遍整理出主线，第二遍填充细节，信息还原程度只能达到90%多一点，还是需要积累，还是需要练习听写能力。
