Good morning from South Florida! How's your morning so far?
I went out for a walk/run this morning. I haven't done this for a long time. I missed it so much. There nothing better than going out in the morning and run in the beautiful neighborhood to me. It's so refreshing to enjoy the fresh air and scenery.
I am a runner. I still participated a few local running competition events every year. The Corporate Run in our town is a must. I have been able to maintain my finishing time under 25 minutes for the 5K race for many years. Since I don't have time to train for these races, I don't go for any running record any more, just for the pleasure of it.
My travel and work schedule has been very demanding for the past few years. I can still handle the long flights, the jet-lags, and the dramatic weather differences because I have been exercising regularly. I found that if didn't take my regular exercises seriously, then after a while I would get sick easily and feel terrible.
When I was in China during those bad weather days or the smog index overloading days, I would do my workout indoors with weight lifting or resistance training. One of the benefits is these exercises keep burning calories even after you stopped exercising. They also help keeping my muscle tone in a better shape. Since I don't plan to go back to the office until Monday, I still have a long weekend ahead of me. I'm looking forward to going to the beach and run on the sand.
And there is nothing stopping you, my reader, to do some workout to challenge your body and stay in a good shape. So, just to it. Cheers!
