Today is Sunday.
It was Henny's turn to dust the room that day. She didn't want to do it and her excuse was that she had to finish her homework first, but Mama didn't agree. Henny said then that she had a swell excuse when teacher asked her why she hadn't finished her homework. She tossed her blonde curls defiantly, which were envied by all of her sisters. The next day Mama got an idea that she hid twelve buttons in the room and asked the girls who wanted to play a game, hide-and-seek. The game was that the dust girl who could find all the buttons would win the game and needn't do the dust that day. The girls all wanted to play the game, but it was Sarah's turn to dust the room. So she skipped into the room and began to search the buttons joyfully. She finally got the twelve buttons and joyfully told Mama she wanted to do it again. Other girls did the same good work of cleaning the room like Sarah during the days later. Certainly they did with fun. What a smart mother.
