I was watching an old favourite animated feature film called the lion king.I noticed a funny thing that there appeared two different words referring the animals I thought are the same species.
These two words are "leopard" and "cheetah".
Leopard's Chinese name is 金钱豹 while cheetah's 猎豹。In order to distinguish them, the cheetah has a duller face and the fancier fur.Conversely, leopard's face has a more fierce and wilder look, having two scare-shaped lines in the centre of its face.Their bodies are covered with black dots.
