Dear Yves,
Hope this letter finds you, and finds you well.
I’m writing to wish you a happy Children’s Day, as well as share something which I’d also like to tell the girl I used to be, who was of your age, with you.
Before explaining why I called you Yves at the beginning of this letter, I was wondering if you have guessed who I am when you make it this far. I bet you got it already, right? I’m sure the answer is “right”,so let’s get into another topic -- the explanation of “Yves”.
Did you still remember that we had a brief chat in English about 6 weeks ago? We practiced simple English conversations like “--What’s your name? -- My name is ***”, and then I asked you if you have an English name but to get the answer that you didn’t catch me, which might result from my not making myself clear or speaking a little bit fast. Anyway, if you do have no English name, my advice is that you choose Yves, which not only sounds like the pronunciation of your given name, but also means ambition, business success, self-confidence, energy and passion, etc. Of course, it doesn’t matter if you don’t like it, lol.
Finally, we're getting down to business, as you can see in the Chinese version of this letter......
In order to keep you from being afraid of my potential drawn-out speech in here, this letter can not gain any more words. Any questions, please feel free to call me at *** **** ****.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best Regards,
Lizzie
