Leonard高兴地在餐厅告诉大家一个好消息，情人节他有机会去瑞士参观正负粒子对撞机，还能带一个人。Sheldon喜出望外，当仁不让地回去收拾行李了，完全没考虑到Leonard要带的人是Penny。Leonard对Sheldon直说，然而Sheldon拿出了室友协议——竟然曾经规定了这种情况！
可是Leonard还是坚持不按协议做，即使Sheldon拿出温柔战术给他准备早餐并送到床上也没能打动他（未能得逞的Sheldon无情地把早餐端走了）。
Sheldon决定从Penny下手，他准备了一个PPT拿到洗衣房对Penny宣讲，说明此行对自己的意义重大，而Penny素质低如何不配云云，Penny果断拒绝了他，他只好可怜地滚蛋了，Penny同情心起，决定把机会让给他，他激动地拥抱了Penny。
可是Leonard回来还是没同意带他去，坚持要带Penny。Sheldon失望地甩下一句——以后我有机会去比尔盖茨家游泳，可不带你啦！
临出发的晚上，Penny喷嚏连天，感冒严重，眼看无法出发，Leonard只好去邀请Sheldon，Sheldon正要收拾行李，发现自己也中招了……
最终，两个病人留在本地相依为命，而跟着Leonard去瑞士享受鲜花美酒巧克力雪景的，却成了Raj，Leonard心情郁郁，他倒是兴致勃勃，感动不已……
