4.0学习的目标是:
1.完成英语流利说所有卡片课的学习。
2.报名薄荷阅读,完成1-2本英文小说阅读。
完成情况如下,英语流利说卡片刻完成了level7的所有练习,但level8还没有开始。流利说level7主要包括九篇ted演讲,内容涵盖极限运动,machine Intelligence,圣经寓言故事,脑科学新观点,经济学经典原理等等。我一共学习了两遍,第一遍熟悉内容,熟悉生单词,第二遍要求做题准确,达到每个lesson 三颗星。之所以比原计划慢了很多,原因主要是自己没有坚持做到每周五次,怠惰之外。还有,第一遍听的时候很多,听了大意,没有完全听懂。在开始第二遍的时候,我在网上听带英文字幕的ted演讲,帮助理解,同时再次熟悉生词。然后再来流利说做练习。通过对td演讲的学习,我看到国外的演讲者演讲时思路清晰,逻辑性强,风趣幽默,更重要的是有创造性的推论和观点,让人脑洞大开。
第二部分的任务完成的很好,就是在薄荷阅读,每天阅读大约1000字左右英文小说。目前已经读到第三本。分别是毛母的一个陌生女人的来信 Letter from an unknown woman.和 Painted veil.面纱,第三本是菲兹杰拉德的四个短篇故事。因为是爱情文学,文中出现了很多关于情感的细腻描述。阅读之后,深感作者对人物心理变化把握精准。通过阅读学到一些反复出现的语句表达,同时也感到词汇的匮乏,尤其是现在正在读的菲兹杰拉德的短篇故事,几乎是半蒙半猜。
我在4.0之前主要专注在英语流利说,在。4.0的时候感觉自己应该在阅读上有所提升,于是报名了薄荷阅读。虽然体会到了阅读的乐趣,但仍然有困惑。当我专注在流利说上听说的练习时,我能明显感觉到自己的听说能力的提升,但当我把精力分成两半,一部分在阅读,一部分在流利说的时候,我感觉我的提高没有那么快了。我希望自己在5.0的时候,对英语学习的方法有所精进。当然这是要建立在有明确的学习目标的基础上。我对近期的学习目标比较明确,但对于长远的学习目标不是很清楚。我不想只局限在听和说的练习上,我希望自己能够像一个导游或者演讲者那样明确清晰的向别人解释一个复杂的概念,理论或者思想。
5.0的目标:
1.完成英语流利说最后一个level ,level8的学习。
2.找一本关于英语学习方法的书来仔细研读,明确长远学习目标和方法。
3.完成本期薄荷阅读之后,继续下一期。
4.0 learning objectives are:
1. Complete all the card lessons in fluent English.
2. Sign up for mint reading and finish reading 1-2 English novels.
The situation is as follows: fluent English speaking card has completed all the exercises of level7 for a while, but level8 has not started yet. Level7 consists of nine ted talks on extreme sports,machine Intelligence, biblical fables, new ideas in brain science, and classic principles of economics. I learned it twice in total. The first time I got familiar with the content and the new words. A lot slower than originally planned, mainly because I didn't stick to it five times a week, out of laziness. Also, the first time listen to a lot of time, listen to careless, not fully understand. At the beginning of the second time, I listened to the ted talk with English subtitles on the Internet to help me understand and get familiar with new words again. Then come back and do the exercises fluently. Through the study of td speech, I found that foreign lecturers have clear thinking, strong logic, witty humor and, more importantly, creative reasoning and ideas, which let people have rich imagination.
The second part of the task is well done, is to read in mint, reading about 1,000 words of English novels every day. So far, I have read the third book. A Letter from an unknown woman and Painted veil. The third was Fitzgerald's four short stories. Because it is love literature, there are many detailed descriptions of emotion. After reading, I felt that the author had an accurate grasp of the psychological changes of the characters. I learned some recurring expressions through reading, and I also felt a lack of vocabulary, especially the short stories of Fitzgerald that I am reading now, almost half a guess.
I was mainly focused on speaking English fluently before 4.0. At 4.0, I felt that I should improve in reading, so I signed up for mint reading. Although I enjoyed reading, I was still confused. When I focus on the practice of listening and speaking fluently, I can clearly feel the improvement of my listening and speaking ability. I hope I can improve my English learning methods at time 5.0. This, of course, is based on having clear learning objectives. I am clear about the short-term learning goal, but not very clear about the long-term learning goal. I don't want to be limited to listening and speaking. I want to be able to explain a complicated concept, theory or idea to others as clearly and clearly as a guide or speaker.
5.0 goals:
