TGIF! The weekend is upon us.
If you meet any of your colleagues near your office coffee machine or watercoolers, your conversations would have been like this:
"So, what's your plan for the weekend?"
I used to be so-called a "weekend warrior" when I was training for a running or a triathlon race. I had a few training partners to train with. We had very specific training plans for swimming, biking and running.
I miss those days that we went to the beach and ran on the sand for miles and then swim in the ocean for a mile. Sometimes the water was rough. But sometimes there was no wind at all. The water surface was calm as a mirror. It was so beautiful during the sunrise!
Now that most of my training partners were gone for either changing their jobs or relocated to a different city, I realize that nothing is forever, even the simple good times we had trained together.
Now I do have my own plan for the weekend. For my exercises, I will focus more on strength training since I have been training intensively for the past year due to my traveling schedule. I need to strengthen my body to prevent injury before I can do more intense running or biking.
By the way, I can do my jump rope for a total of 1,000 times in a session now.
Enjoy your weekend!
