Timer's Job:
To time each session accurately from the begining to the end of the meeting.
To explain the timing rules and report to the club clearly and precisely.
Remember:
1. The meeting should be begin and end on time. You can even decide to shorten some sessions to ensure that.
2. Every role taker has extra 30", when time is up, ring the bell, if one keeps on talking, you can keep on ringing the bell…
3. Explain the rule clearly, and give a detailed report at the end of meeting.
Timer's Rules:
This Saterday I will be the timer. So I prepared below timer introduction for reference:
Timer Introduction:
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I'm very glad to be the timer. My job is to time each session accurately from the begining to the end of the meeting. Please pay more attention to the time in the agenda.
If your speach length is more than 5 mins:
-When you see the green card, you have used the minimum requirement of the time. So you have qualified.
-The yellow card means you have 1 minute left, and
-When the red card is held up, please conclude your speech within 30 seconds.
If your speach length is equal to or less than 5 mins:
-When you see the green card, you have qualified.
-The yellow card means you have 30 seconds left, and
-When you see the red card, please conclude your speech within 30 seconds.
If you hear the bell, you must stop your speech at once.
At the end of the meeting, I will give my report. Thank you.
Timer Report:
The following three points can be used for reference:
1. Give a detailed report. eg.Nancy 6'55"
2. Evaluate the people who control time better or worse or who is out of time
3. Give some tips to control time or some feelings about timer or some creative ideas
