1.why does Baby Suggs insisted on calling herself Baby Suggs instead of Jenny Whitlow?
I think "Baby Suggs" means a lot to her,including her past.she wanted to keep this name as a way to remember the past.It was part and parcel of what it meant to life.

Amy was a poor girl,she has starved for several days,but she had hope for life.she had a dream,a beautiful dream which had been the best part of her life.she told Sethe the story of velvet and Boston,and she tried to make Sethe believe there would be a lovely place which could guide her to a happiness life.Sethe knew life would be tough for the new-born baby,but she couldn't change it.so she just named the new-born baby Denver so that she could transfer the picture Denver described into her new-born baby's life.
