- Install the repository RPM

- Install the client packages

- Optionally install the server packages
yum install postgresql96-server
- Optionally initialize the database and enable automatic start
service postgresql-9.6 initdb
chkconfig postgresql-9.6 on
service postgresql-9.6 start
