博闻强识:亚马逊工具篇1

做电商,尤其是亚马逊平台,一些小工具是非常必要的,以下是几款国外卖家推荐的工具,其中有几款非常好用哦。

Product & Market Research

Google Keyword Planner (free)

The perfect too for Ecommerce and Amazon sellers looking to perform in depth keyword research.  Google is the biggest search engine by far and utilizing their keyword tool can be great for Amazon sellers who want to determine the high impression and most relevant keywords to attach their product listings to.  We have agreat video tutorialon how to use it for ecommerce and Amazon sellers.

Long Tail Pro (Paid)

Even though this is a paid tool, it is one worth getting. It pulls data from

the google keyword planner and allows you to find truly those long tail

keywords that can drive targeted traffic and that is likely to be less

competitive than other keywords.  We utilize this for both digital

marketing and Amazon selling.

Merchant Words

Another keyword research tool but directly for Amazon FBA and Ecommerce

sellers.  The price is fairly low but the tool pulls in data from both

Google and Amazon and ultimately determines the appropriate keywords

that get both great traffic volume and potential conversions.

Camel Camel Camel (free)

A must use tool for Amazon FBA Sellers.  Camel camel camel allows people

to perform direct research on specific ASIN’s.  You can view price

changes, changes in BSR, and alot more information.  The beauty is you

can capture the historical data of ASIN’s you’re research for your

products.

Google Translate (free)

Why you we include Google Translate in our list of resources?  For those global sellers that sell overseas in places like Japan and Germany and need a tool that can translate various listing, emails, etc..  It’s not perfect, but good enough to get the job done.  We have a greatGoogle Translate video tutorialon how to use it.  Imagine for those Amazon sellers who want to expand globally?

Translated.net (paid)

Another tool to translate emails and listings.  It is a little more accurate

and does cost for each listing, but if you’re a big time seller, this

can be a great resource for global sellers.

Google Trends (free)

Google trends is another research tool for picking products and understanding the trend lines of those products.  This tool also helps with inventory management and know what times of the year you should stock up versus other times of the year.  We show you how to use it in thisgoogle trends video tutorial.

AMZShark (7 Day Free Trial)

Our research tool of choice, AMZ Shark does many things including product

research, tracking competitor sales, pulling keyword opportunities, and

extracting reviews from competitors, and now you can use it to find

niche opportunities within Amazon.  We use this tool on a daily basis.

Jungle Scout (Paid)

If you want to speed up your research process on Amazon, JungleScout is the way to go.  Type on a keyword in Amazon and see the results that show up.  Jungle Scout is a Google Chrome Extension that will allow you to summarize that entire first page including BSR, estimates sales per month, FBA vs Amazon vs Merchant Fulfilled, price per unit, and of course name of product.View our tutorial here.

FBA Calculator (free)

If you are an Amazon FBA or Merchant seller, the calculator is probably the most used tool for crunching numbers.  You can take a competitor’s ASIN, and determine the margins you could make on that same product.  It breaks down FBA Fees, commissions, and other critical information.  Check our ourtutorial on how to use the FBA calculator.

AmaSuite (paid)

A great tool for Amazon and Affiliate sellers.  If you want to research

product opportunities using specific criteria, Amasuite can do just

that.  This Amazon suite of tools does alot more than that.  You can get

a little overwhelmed but it is worth the spend.

Keyword Snatcher (Paid)

Probably should have listed this one sooner, but lets say you want to research

more longtail keywords.  This will do it for you automatically.  Just

put your keyword in, pick your markets, and this will go out and find

every relevant long tail keyword possible.  I’ll warn you, this tool can

provide some irrelevant results, but can also be dangerous in a good

way.

Terapeak

Terapeak is a powerful tool for Amazon & Ebay sellers.  I don’t personally

use it, but I know of some high power sellers that use and live and die

by it.  See thousands of the the hottest products and categories on eBay

and Amazon.

Packaging & Inventory Ecommerce Tools

Cheap UPC Barcodes

If you sell products online and you’re doing any form of private labeling,

you will need barcodes.  This site will charge you $20 for 20 codes

which is cheap in our opinion.  We use this site for many of our product

we sell.  A great resource and place to get everything you need.

Upgraded Images (Paid)

Can’t believe I’m giving this one away.  But upgrade images will take your

product images and give you high end and I do mean high end quality

photos at a fraction of the cost of traditional photography studios.

The great thing with these guys is you can send your product to them or

have them order for free off Amazon.  They are my secret weapon to

selling products online.

Pro FBA Images

I love these guys.  I keep telling people how critical it is to have the

best images.  These guys can retouch images, create whitebackgrounds,

create 3D renderings, and much more.  I really only use two to three

companies for my images.  Pro FBA Images is one of them.

Foto Fuze (Paid)

Lets say you choose to take the photos yourself, but you know you need a

white background and need to spruce them up a little.  Foto Fuze will

take your photos and with a little work on your end, create white

backgrounds for you images. I used this software before finding Upgrade

Images, but this still works wonders.

Fiverr (Paid)

Fiverr is similar to 99 Designs but a lot less expensive.  We use this site

for even finding people to translate our listings.  But if you need

someone to create packaging, digital packaging images, and logos, Fiverr

is a great resource.

99 Designs (Paid)

99 Designs is just that, a graphic design website for those looking for

websites, logos, packaging, and other branding related elements.  More

expensive than most sites, but you’ll get high quality with the many

designers that will bid for your project.

DesignMatic (Paid)

For as low as $35, you can easily use DesignMatic to use its articial

intelligence software to create a logo for you based on specific

criteria. You can then make small changes to the logo if you prefer or

purchase it as is.

Global Product Sourcing

Alibaba.com (free)

If you are looking to source products globally, Alibaba is the number 1

that most people use.  You can literally view 1,000’s of products to

source in China and other parts of the world.  Be careful though because

you should connect with minimum 5 – 10 suppliers per product when

you’re conducting research.

Ali Express (free)

A company under Alibaba, Ali Express is very similar except you can’t

always get the customization that you can on Alibaba.com.  Also,  they

will ship you a smaller quantity of products (MOQ 50 in many cases).  A

great alternative.

Thomasnet.com (free)

We have not used ThomasNet, however we’ve heard great things about it and

know a few other sellers that use it.  You can find many more US based

suppliers on ThomasNet.  But note that it may be a little more expensive

to source product on this site than Alibaba.

Email AutoResponder For Amazon & Ecommerce Sellers

Feedback Genius (30 Day Free Trial)

Our top tool of choice for selling on Amazon and having an autoresponder

that will collect seller feedback and product feedback from customers.

They are in the process of rolling out an international component where

you can contact buyers in other Amazon Global Markets that you sell in.

We use the global segment and it works amazingly well.

SalesBacker (Paid)

Similar to Feedback Genius, SalesBacker is the new kid on the block but they

say they can find reviewers for you and it has the potential of getting

10% product reviews from purchasers of your product on Amazon.

Definitely worth looking into.

AWeber (Paid)

The gold standard in traditional email autoresponders, AWeber is great for

any blogger, website owner, and Ecommerce site owner that wants to build

and create an automated sequence that captures emails and responds to

those subscribers.

LeadPages.net

LeadPages has taken off in a big way.  If you need to create squeeze pages that

convert people to buyers, email subscribers, or getting people to sign

up for stuff, lead pages is the perfect tool.  We use it for practically

everything including getting people to sign up for our webinars.  Plus,

the tool is super easy to use in building quality lead pages.

Hostnine (Paid)

I had to give my guys at hostnine some love.  I know many others use

BlueHost, but this little company is amazing, great customer service,

and you can get a reseller account for only $25/month.  The spend is

worth it because you get quality servers and unlimited website you can

host on your own reseller account.

Shopify (paid)

If you need an solid ecommerce website created, shopify has just about

every theme you need to create it.  Shopify has also been a great

resource for ecommerce selling looking to learn the tricks of the trade.

WooCommerce

Woo Commerce connects to your wordpress CMS system and allows you to sell

directly from your website.  Woo Commerce is a great alternative to

Shopify as we know many Ecommerce sellers who use it instead of Shopify.

Freight Forwarders

Flexport

If you are looking to ship via sea, flexport can be a great broker.  They

handle customs and freight forwarding for shipments into the United

States and out of the Untied States.

FBA Inspection

FBA Inspection is another freight forwarder.  The great thing with them is

they handle prep services and Amazon Returns for Amazon Sellers.

Definitely another resource worth considering.

Multi-Channel Management

Skubana

For those big sellers who sell across their ecommerce website, Amazon,

EBay, and other platform but need to source from one location (Amazon

FBA for example), Skubana will handle inventory management and shipping

from one interface.

AutoMCF

Very similar to Skubana, you can conduct multi-channel inventory management

from one interface versus having to do it from multiple platforms.

Again, you only start doing this once you are selling across multiple

platforms.

XSellco

Another platform if you sell across multiple channels including Ebay, Amazon,

shopy, and others.  It also has a repricing product for those who do

retail arbitrage but of course private label.

Getting Product Reviews

Tomoson (30 Day free trial)

Tomoson is my top “tool” of choice when it comes to collecting reviews for

blogs, products, and Amazon sellers.  They just recently made the tool

more friendsly for Amazon sellers so for example you can contact only

those who have Amazon Prime accounts which is perfect for Amazon FBA

Sellers.

Home Product Testing

I hate to rely on review services and I particularly don’t like to pay

for them, but that’s the price at times.  I love HPT because it is super

cheap ($29.99/month) and once you post your product, you will get a

bevy of emails for you to reach out to yourself.  The beauty is this can

be your future launch list if you prefer.

Viral Launch

Viral launch is the one paid tool that I will use from time to time.  Those

guys are great to work with and they save you the time in sending out

emails with individual coupon codes to buyers.  They handle this for you

and will allow you to determine how much  inventory over what period of

time you prefer.  You can even gradually increase the amount of

inventory given out.  Awesome awesome service.

Accounting & Taxes For Ecommerce Sellers

Freshbooks

Freshbooks is great for ecommerce and digital sellers who need accounting and

invoicing software.  Period.  Great resource to use.

TaxJar

TaxJar is the new kid on the block but destined to do incredibly well.  They

will integrate with your Amazon Seller account, pull report, and figure

out what you owe in taxes around various States in which you sell out of

due to Nexus laws.  You don’t have to worry about this early on when

you are just getting started, but when your sales do pick up a bit, it’s

great to have a software like this that can do the work.
