肯定句：

He was the tallest boy in the class.

There were a lot of flowers in the garden last week.

I was in beijing yesterday.

We were at home an hour ago.


一般疑问句：

Was she your teacher?  Yes,she was.

Were they her parents?  No,they weren’t.


否定句：

I wasn’t in beijing yesterday.

We weren’t in beijing yesterday.


【Was的一般疑问句】

was 是am、is的过去式，用于单数人称he、she、i，一般疑问句中要放在句首，如：Was he a teacher two years ago?

were是are的过去式，用于复数人称we、they、you，一般疑问句中同样要放在句首，如：Were they here yesterday?
