As the Chinese saying goes beginning is the hardest part for everything and it does true.

   I've just completed a thorough reading of My first non-fiction original English version book, that is <beyond feelings: a guide to critical thinking>(9th revised edition)by Vincent  Ruggiero（a professor from State University of New York).<Beyond feelings> is a textbook at SUNY, it's sort of professional at the first glimpse, in fact it's a masterpiece written in plain English. Anyone who has an vocabulary basis of 3000+ can achieve that goal.

     For me, thorough reading of the book spent 60 hours(thirty days, two hours reading per day)or so.Before reading,I have done a vocabulary test and the result shows my vocabulary size is 4500+,as is known, the vocabulary size demand for CET-6 is 6000, though I have passed the exam before at college, now you can see where I am. First six pages spent me 3 hours and more, and after the first-day reading, I was a little depressed because it costs much more than the Chinese version.  Though it's not easy, I've decided to go on because of its original taste and flavor.

      When I heard about the book, it's the English version, and I have searched for the Chinese version because English version costs much more time and effort.Knowledge is the same knowledge, so I started reading the Chinese version, and at the beginning , I was sick of the translation and was in confusion after the reading of half the first chapter. When I discuss the problem with my friends, they all express almost the same opinions and recommended reading the English version.

      Years ago,I have done some translation work of Japanese books about  common science. And I've heard about the domestic publishing industry chaos. Due to the low budget and time limit, the quality of the translation book is not always guaranteed.

          And the other reason I choose original version reading is that most of the books about advanced technology and creative thoughts are published in English . If you aren't able to read the original version, sorry!you have to wait until the Chinese version published. As I know,<a man for all markets >are available in amazon since January 2017, and publishing of the Chinese version is still months to wait and the quality is not guaranteed.by the way, I have found several sentences in BLACK  SWAN translated completely wrong   in the Chinese version. If the meaning is completely different, is reading still meaningful?

     The good news is when I go on reading to the last chapter of the book, I felt the difference,I'm not afraid of reading and writing in English at all, guess why? Because it became much easier for me. Though my English is not native enough at the present, but much better than before.

   Never imagine that reading original English version book is an inaccessible height. The biggest lie in the world is you can't! you just need some courage, appropriate methods and a little persistence.If You think that there nothing to be involved with your life, then you shut the window to a new and wonderful world.
