The graph shows the height of average global sea Level increase, measured in millimetres, for the years 1997 to 2005 in one-yearly intervals. Overall, the graph shows the height of the sea level increased steadily over the eight years. In 1997, the amount of increase were around 4 millimetres. In 1998 and 1999, it maintained a relatively stable level, rising by about five millimeters every year. But since 2000, the rate of sea level rise has greatly increased. By 2002 the annual growth rate reached 20 mm. In the following two years, sea level continued to rise, and in 2005 reached a growth of 28 mm.(106words)
