斩断了名缰索，
却被这利锁捉。
I cut the reins that fame has made,
By locks of profit I am stayed.
卧听夜雨伴茅舍，
垂钩江尾摇波色，
I lie and hear the midnight rain,
Upon my humble, thatched domain.
And cast my line where waters flow,
To watch the shifting ripples glow.
时读陶令静魂魄。
With Tao' s old verse I calm
my soul,
And let his quiet words make whole.
叛离那波谲云诡是非窝，
甘受这身心双利天地阔。
I flee the snare of wiles and strife,
To gain a life of boundless life.

1. 作者作品简介
朱夫子八旬翁, 毕业于复旦大学历史系，教师，诗人，出版过《月亮与菊花》(北京教育出版社) 和其它诗集，涵盖古诗词、仿元曲和现代诗三部分。
在这首仿元曲中，夫子用《名缰利锁》这一汉语成语作诗名，鲜明地表明了他的人生观，绝不被它们束缚或无端消耗了自己。
2. 汉英格律说明
Fangyuanqu: Yuan-style drama: 仿元曲； Jishengcao寄生草：( a poetic form )，
运用了“歌e，波o，uo”二韵，英译为抑扬格四音步，用了/eɪd//eɪn//ləʊ//əʊl//aɪf/五个韵部。
