China has agreed to import more goods and services from US, which lessens the trade imbalance between the two countries and reducing the fears of a emerging trade war. Both sides not only agreed on meaningful increases in US agriculture and energy exports, but also concurred to keep negotiating on trade to resolve their concerns “in a proactive manner”. China and US has been threatening each other on imposing tariffs, yet they are not implemented, and made equal retaliations. Eventually, the two countries declared that the latest agreement as a “good example of win-win”, concluding that both sides agreed “to encourage two-way investment and to strive to create a fair, level playing field for competition”.
