I always like making all kinds of paintings especially those that have a dress on. Mostly, people make houses or trees out of amber but my first thought was to make a dress out of it. So that is what I did. I used three kinds of materials: amber, marker, oil paint.
First I sketched a model wearing a gown with pencil, and colored it with marker. Then I put glue on the gown and glued amber on it. I chose dark colors for the tail of the gown, and chose transparent light colors for the top of it, and in the middle I chose all kinds of mixed amber.
When I finished gluing the amber I used oil paint to make a red carpet to go with the dress. And sketched some bars around. And waited for the paint to dry.
When the paint was dried, I started sketching some people around the model, and coloring the people with marker. But then I felt the whole painting was too messy. So I thought if I color the background it would be just fine. So I started coloring the background. But I chose the wrong color, I chose a light brown color, the color is too close to the amber and it gave away the shine of the amber, so I rushed to wash the oil paint off. Of cause it is impossible to wash all the paint off, but I managed to get the paint lighter. Though it still looked very weird I thought it was ruined by me.
Then I thought maybe if I covered it with black paint it would give back the shine, so I had no choice but to cover it all with black. And it turned out good.
