Activity的启动流程

1、startActivity

Activity中的startActivity最终会调用三个参数的startActivityForResult。

2、Instrumentation

我们注意到

这段代码中,最关键的是

ActivityManager.getService()
                .startActivity(...);

继续点进去,看getService的具体实现:

看到这里,我们有个疑惑,为什么要获取AMS的代理对象,而不使用AMS对象本身?
那是因为我们app所在的进程与AMS所在进程(SystemServer)是不同的。为了跨进程通信,我们采用了binder机制。回想下我们在写service的aidl的时候,是不是也差不多这么写的:先获取iBinder对象,然后调用asInterface方法得到远程服务端的代理对象。具体原理可以参考这篇文章:

在这里,AMS相对app来讲,就是远程服务端,app拿到AMS的代理对象am,就可以通过该代理对象操控(调用)AMS了。

3、ActivityManagerService(AMS)

AMS以及它的代理对象am都实现了IActivityManager接口,由代理模式可以很容易推出,am的startActivity方法,实质调用的是被代理对象即AMS的startActivity方法,所以切换到AMS类中:

这里又有一个ipc通信:caller,它可以看作是我们app的代理对象,通过该对象,AMS就可以操控app(其实是ActivityThread,后面会讲)。

Activity的启动最核心的东西就在下面这个方法中,所以这个方法会很复杂,里面调用了很多方法,每个方法分析都会比较复杂,在这个方法最后返回成功,也就是Activity的启动结束标志。

6、ActivityStack

Activity在AMS的栈管理,用来记录已经启动的Activity的先后关系,状态信息等。通过ActivityStack决定是否需要启动新的进程。

这里我们分析的是应用未开启的情况下打开Activity,所以走AMS的startProcessLocked方法。

这个类用来开启app进程。进程开启后,就会执行入口类(ActivityThread)中的main方法。

9、ActivityThread

ActivityThread并不是一个Thread类,只是因为ActivityThread中的main方法,会在app进程开启后被调用,main方法是运行在主线程的,也就是ui线程。看看main方法里干了些啥?

10、AMS

ActivityThread中调用了AMS的attachApplication,这里同样采用binder进程间通信,将ActivityThread的内部Binder实例注入到AMS,因而AMS持有ActivityThread的代理对象并可以间接操作它。

2、调度Activity
3、调度Service

第一件事:thread.bindApplication(......),具体实现在ApplicationThread中:

该方法遍历 ActivityStack 和 TaskRecord,找到位于 Activity 堆栈顶端的一个 ActivityRecord 对象 hr,接着检查这个 Activity 组件的用户 ID 和 进程名是否与 ProcessRecord 对象 app 所描述的应用程序的用户 ID 和进程名一致,如果一致,则调用 StackSupervisor.realStartActivityLocked方法来请求该应用程序进程启动一个 Activity 组件。

StackSupervisor.realStartActivityLocked方法内部调用了app.thread.scheduleLaunchActivity()方法,其中thread是ApplicationThread类型,binder对象。
ApplicationThread.scheduleLaunchActivity方法如下:
