5. PPT and Delivery TIPS
Avoid long sentences: Audience will start to read, and you lose their attention. Use key words.
Use pictures: Use good quality emotion inducing images. Can't find a pic? Even arranging five bullet points in a circle will make it like a pic.
Use most content for the most key part: The most key part for a Pathways presentation is the benefit to the audience. Delete other unnecessary information.
Asking questions: This is the chance to engage your audience, always let the audience to answer first. Use simple click to show the answer next.
Personal stories or boring facts?: Use personal stories. Human brain likes stories. Prepare a lot of stories for your workshop.
What if audience objects? It's OK but you can't ignore them. Be prepared to deal with them.
Know your slide contents: Avoid looking back and reading your slides. You could do actual rehearsal or practice a piece of it every time you go to bathroom, or elsewhere.
Add excitement: If you are not exciting, how could your audience be? Use inviting body language and relax, avoid too stiff and nervous. Present like a conversation with your friend.
Your voice: Natural and charming. Slow down and get your voice out of your abdomen and project to the top of your head (crown).
