意:If an event leaves people or things in a particular state, they are in that state when the event has finished.

例:This accident left him crippled.

Leave: 1. 离开;2.导致,造成(偏负面影响)(=make=cause)

例:a horrible accident left him paralyzed from the neck.

例:his eloquent words leave me speechless.(他说的很有道理,我尽无言以对)

例:The book left me in shock and anger.
