我们都知道“trouble”是“麻烦”，不过我们这里要学习的是它的动词形式，表示“让某人感到痛苦或焦虑”。我们在口语和写作中都能用到它。

在口语中，我们想麻烦别人做某事时，可以先客气地说一句：I’m sorry to trouble you…

在写作中，trouble 是一个经常被低估的、想不到词。例如当我们想表示“担心”时，可能一下子能想到 worry，concern，其实这时候也可以用 trouble。

比如很多学生有无法集中注意力的问题，就可以说：

Many students today are constantly troubled by their inability to concentrate.

再比如，信息过载给很多人带来了压力，结果是很多人会买一些他们并不需要的线上微课，就可以说：

People are increasingly troubled by overload of information so much so that they end up buying many online mini-courses that they do not actually need.
