第二个句型，一般过去时：就是表达过去发生的事，等于中文的“了”。（不是将来；也不是经常动作）
用法很简单：一是将be动词变位成过去时，即:I /he/she用was；we/you/they用were。
如否定句，就是wasn’t; weren’t. 如是疑问句就将was;were放在句子前面。
I was a student.（我曾是一个学生） I wasn’t a student.（我以前不是一个学生）
Was I a student? （我以前是一个学生吗？） Yes,I was; No, I wasn’t.
Was I not a student? （我以前不是一个学生吗？） Yes ,I was; No, I wasn’t.
He/She was a student.（他/她曾是个学生）。 He/She wasn’ t a student.(他/她以前不是一个学生）。
was he /she a student? （他/她曾是个学生吗？） Yes,he/she was; No, he/she wasn’t.
Wasn’ t he a student? （他/她以前不是个学生吗？） Yes,he/she was; No,he/she wasn’t.
You（你）were a student.(你曾是个学生）。 You weren't a student.（你以前不是个学生）。

二是动作动词大多加ed. 少数动词有不规则变位
He/She came back this morning.（他/她今天上午回来了）。
He/She didn’t come back this morning.（他/她今天上午没回来）。

Yes, he/she did; No, he /she didn’t.
注意：一般疑问句的回答，是用do(don’t; does;doesn’t; did; didn’t),不是用行动动词。
Didn’t he/she come back this morning?（他/她今天上午没回来？）
Yes, he/she did; No, he / she didn’t.
I （you/he/she/they) could come back this morning.（我（你/你们/他她/他们）上午能回来）。
I（you/he/she/they) could not / couldn't come back this morning.

注意：以Why 开头的否定疑问句里，如果有人称，why 后就是don’t（doesn’t; did,didn’t) +
人称；比如Why didn’t you come back this morning?
如没有人称，那就用Why not....。比如：Why not come back this morning?
第三个句型，现在进行时：就是说话当时的动作或正在发生的事。
用法很简单，就是be动词(am is are) + ving. 如否定句，就是be not+ving.
I am watching TV right now. (我现在正在看电视） 。
I am not watching TV right now（我现在不在看电视）。
You (你或你们）are watching TV right now. （你、你们现在正在看电视）。
You (你或你们）aren’t watching TV right now.（你、你们现在不在看电视）。
Are you(你或你们）watching TV right now?（你、你们在看电视吗？）
Yes,we are; No, we aren’t.
Aren’t you(你或你们）watching TV right now?（你、你们不在看电视吗？）
Yes,we are; No, we aren’t.
注意：现在进行时回答时，只是说Yes, 然后人称 + be; No,人称 +be not.
并不复述提问句里的动作动词。如上面的二个例句。

第四个句型，过去进行时：就是过去某个时刻正在进行的动作或发生的事。
用法很简单，就是将be动词根据不同的人变成was; were + ving——否定句就是be + not。
I was watching TV when you called me this morning. 今上午你、你们打我电话时，我正在看电视。
I was not watching TV when you called me this morning.今上午你、你们打我电话时，我不在看电视。
You（你或你们）were watching TV when I called you this morning.
