The sanyuesan festival is celebrated by various ethnic groups in guangxi province. The she people celebrate the festival,also called wufan festival,by cooking and eating sticky rice colored by a kind of plant .Single young girls and boys are the heroes of the day,singing folk songs talking about love.In zhuang's tradition,young girls will throw the embroidered ball to the young men they like.To the women of Red Yao ethnic group, the day is the best day to clean and dry their long hair,which symbolizes longevity,wealth and good fortune.
