对现在不确信的肯定(否定)推测:

现在:-may/might (not) do
-may/might (not) be adj/n.

过去:-may/might (not) have done
-may/might (not) have been adj/n.
-may/might (not) have been doing

ex:

-He might be having lunch.
-She might know.
-I might not have time to meet you.
-She may have been asleep.
-You might have left in the shop.
-He may not have been felling well.

'The play may begin at any moment,' I said. 'It may have begun already,' Susan answered. I hurried to the ticket office. 'May I have two tickets please?' I asked. 'I am sorry, we've sold out,' the girl said. 'What a pity!' Susan exclaimed. Just then, a man hurried to the ticket office. ' Can I return these two tickets?' he asked. 'Certainly,' the girl said. I went back to the ticket office at once. 'Could I have those two tickets please?' I asked. 'Certainly,' the girl said, 'but they are for next Wednesday's performance. 'Do you still want them?' 'I might as well have them,' I said sadly.

习惯用法:

1. sold out 卖光

2. at once = immediately 立刻马上
