唐三彩，中国古代陶瓷烧制工艺的珍品，全名唐代三彩釉陶器，是盛行于唐代的一种低温釉陶器，釉彩有黄、绿、白、褐、蓝、黑等色彩，而以黄、绿、白三色为主，所以人们习惯称之为“唐三彩”。因唐三彩最早、最多出土于洛阳，亦有“洛阳唐三彩”之称 。

唐三彩的制作工艺十分复杂。不仅在陶土的挑选、淘洗等环节十分讲究，最重要的特点是唐三彩的烧制采用二次烧成法。先将素胎入窑经过1000℃至1100℃的烧制，冷却后上釉，再入窑以800℃烧制。这些釉料经过焙烧，色釉浓淡变化、互相浸润，形成的色彩自然协调，花纹流畅。
