Chapter 8 PAIN, SUFFERING, AND SURVIVAL
在感情和事业的双危机中，感受到绝境，却不能绝望
马斯克一直有一种实干家的精神，在他发射失败后鼓励员工的话中，可以看出端倪，他不愿意让失落的情绪影响事业的进度。在家庭方面，离婚也是决绝，既然决定了那也没有任何回头路或者情意可言。虽然也许看来不近人情，其实对于一个做事的人来说，这一点也是可贵。
作为领导人，即使遇到失败，士气低落，他的无声号召就像在说：不论如何，完成目标才是最终目的，不管路径如何。
作为家庭成员，他依然在离婚后尽了父亲的义务，尽可能多陪伴儿子。不管对前妻是否太冷血，至少家庭组建和拆散，不是一个人的决定，既然已经如此，快速投入单身的世界，甚至约会和遇见新的女朋友，这一点不算是太渣，相反，在自利的基因和生物生存繁衍的角度，甚至是更好的。
