讲故事是个人人都做过的事情，不过讲得好则不是人人都擅长的事情。这也是为什么致力写作的人非常多，而其中出名的作家却很少。
举个刚刚经历的例子，客户订购的产品因为工艺的更改交货会比预期的时间晚，我们打算用将这件事情通知客户并且最大程度的争取理解。于是今天等来了工厂的第一个草稿：

XXX Finland factory implemented such optimization in previous project, no negative impact on product running
做销售同事看了下，表示：啥？就让我把这个给客户看？这个锅我才不要背过去呢…
于是，一番商量之后，决定重新写一个：
AAA has been working on projects for optimizing the BBB performance and reliability since its releasing in 2012. We believe this isimportant to satisfy customer expectation regarding higher productivity for their business.
A new design was implemented to BBB recently which changes the process of blablabla…. Compare with old design, our R&D engineers believe new method can provide better reliability and minimize the risk of potential fault. This involves all AAA factories globally.
It is a modification inside BBB therefore its mechanical layout will NOT be affected.Moreover, BBB's electrical performance will remain same.
New design is also applied onto your BBB units ordered under our reference xxxxxxx. As it requires new components from Europe, which has a long lead time; unfortunately we have to revise our EXW date. This is the only reason causes the delay of our delivery.
We understand the importance of on time delivery to your business. In order to minimize the impact due to the delay, we are contacting our supplier in Europe in order to get those new components as soon as possible. New estimated EXW date is xxxxxx; we will keep you updated if there is any changes in the meanwhile.
We apologize for the inconvenience to your business and appreciate your understanding about measures we are taking.
完成之后，销售的同事觉得应该可以达到目标了。给工艺的变更找到了合适理由，并且把动机引向了更好的产品质量；锅也甩给了供应商。并且表示我们正在和供应商一起补锅。我表示：哥们666啊。
尽管很多时候，油嘴滑舌的人给人印象不佳；不过好的表达确实可以抓住对方的关注点，无论对方的类型。关注目标，关注数据、事实还是关注情感成分。在举个例子，就像同样烧番茄蛋汤，我就可以做出弄弄食堂味；老婆则可以做出想舔碗的味道，技巧很重要。
很多东西确实只是方法论；不过相比不加修饰合盘托出，花点时间用点技巧装饰一下，在这个充满套路的世界或许不是一个坏选择。
