02. a number of people who have telephoned a place at the same time and are waiting to speak to an operator
E.g. Your call has been put in a queue and will be answered as soon as possible.
2. Ethos= the set of attitudes and beliefs that are typical of an organization or a group of people
Working 12-hour days seems to be part of the company ethos.
3. patriarchy ['peɪtrɪɑːkɪ]= a society, system, or organization in which men have all or most of the power and influence
4. destined= 01 certain to do something, or certain to happen in the future
e.g. destined for: That boy is destined for greatness.
e.g. destined to do something: We both felt that we were destined to meet.
02 intended for a particular purpose or person
e.g. destined for: a book destined for the Christmas market
5. Elitist= supporting or based on a system in which a small group of people have a lot of advantages and keep the most power and influence
E.g. They claim that it is elitist and a waste of funds.= It would be a poor use of resources because only a minority would use it.
