《little quack’s hide and seek》by Lauren Thompson, pictures by Derek Anderson.
About the story
Mama duck and ducklings are playing hide and seek. The little ducklings’ names are Widdle, Waddle, Piddle, Puddle and the Little Quack. By the time Mama counts to ten, everyone has found a hiding place... Widdle found a dark place to hide. Waddle found a wet place to hide. Piddle found a high place to hide. Puddle found a leafy place to hide. Except for Little Quack. Where should he hide? At the end, he hid behind Mama duck. Mama found four little ducklings one by one, Little Quack was the last one found. It turned out that Little Quack did find the best hiding place of all.
Look at the front cover, the cute Little Quack seems to hush up: Don’t tell my mama where I am! And the language in the story is very interesting and useful for kids around five years old. And it teaches simple addition and subtraction.
Let’s enjoy the story together.
