Today I finished reading the help, it ended without surprise, not very like a happy ending.
First, I want to explain the name of the help:it refers to the black maids who works for the white ladies for their domestic work in Jackson ,Mississipi in 1960s.
It tells a story of a white lady with several black maids risked their lives writing a book about their work experiences in their white ladies ' houses.
Of all the characters , I like Skeeter and Aibileen most. Skeeter ,a white lady with college education ,not very beautiful ,not like other white ladies of her time, was a sharp and independant girl. She despised her friends for their trrrible treatment to their maids.I appreciate her attitude toward life:always being herself , be true to herself. And for her courage, she deserved all the respect of readers.
I favour Aibileen for she was much like a wiser or old inteligent aunt , to who you can always seek for help and comfort. For her devotion to the little white babies, i was deeply impressed. It strikes me that no matter who you are, waht your race , love is the universal bond that connect two people together. You plant love, you reap it.
