Sheldon纠结一个科学问题彻夜不眠，连吃早餐时别人盘子的豆子都不放过，要用来当电子研究。半夜Leonard被电话叫醒，去儿童游乐场的海洋球池子找Sheldon。后来Sheldon从Einstein的经历得到启发，决定去找一份低贱的不动脑的工作，来促使自己大脑取得突破。他接受一位招聘人员的面试后，以被叫保安驱逐为结束。最后，他主动来到了Penny的餐厅，默默担任起服务员的工作（无薪，所以也不面试，只是自己偷偷干）。在摔碎了盘子以后顿悟，然后不收拾残局就离开（因为不是他的工作）
Raj提议去溜冰场，结果被Howard和Leonard搞成四人约会，没他的份。四人约会后两女都觉得两男的表现很丢人，而两男自我感觉良好。后来Raj如愿和Howard一起在溜冰场跳舞，特幸福……
